Top 10 Nutrition Tips

As you all know every day, week, month, and year, I am relentless when it comes to my study on fitness and nutrition. Lets keep this blog short and sweet. Here are my top ten nutrition tips and some of my favorite nutrition quotes below! I have been blessed to read, listen and learn from some of the best in the game and have worked with thousands of people in my career so far. With that in mind, here is my list. There is however more I could have added to the list but I wanted to keep it simple. I wouldn’t say these are the most important tips but they are the first ones that came to mind.

” Move more and eat less”

“Food is energy for the mind, soul, and body.”

(Here is a basic nutrition list to think about – no particular order)

#1 Eat Slower (science shows this helps you consume less)

#2 Think feedings instead of meals. Use food as fuel not comfort.

#3 Be a Caveman.

Eat fruits/veggies and lean meats. Treat grains (breads/pasta) like posion.

#4 Eat Like an Adult. If the food you eat has no nutritional value, dont eat it. I dont care if its only 100 calories.

#5 Throw Out the Junk Food in Your House.

If you dont have self control dont buy it.

#6 Eat LESS but More Often. Every 2-5 hours is good. Regulating your blood sugar is key to preventing to many calories being consumed.

#7 Drink Water.

Half of your body weight in fluid ounces. Most of the time you are dehydrated which could be why your hungry or tired.

#8 Don’t Eat Within 1-2 Hours Before Bed. You won’t sleep as deep. Rest is important for growth.

#10 Take Fish Oil.

You probably dont consume enough “good” fat. Some fats are essential for the body and help you feel full.

#11 Eat After You Work Out or Drink a Shake. Remember your body is growing post work out when you fuel it / rest it / recover it.

#12 Sugar Should Only be 10% of Your Daily Calories!

#13 Drink a Beer or Two Once in a While.

Yeah, you heard me. Not 20 but enjoy a beer every so often. You only live once, stop being so up tight!
